Nature's Signatures
x Luisa Catucci GalleryInside a contemporary art gallery in Berlin Mitte, RAT presented a culinary journey exploring a continuous chain of translation: nature informed the artists, and their work became the foundation for our edible exploration. Responding to NATURE’S SIGNATURES exhibition, we metabolized static art into a synesthetic medium. Zak van Biljon’s infrared landscapes, where chlorophyll turns crimson, were mirrored through beetroot pigments to subvert visual expectations. Tom Kretschmer’s focus on rhythm became an experience of sound and touch; the crunch of fragile crackers against viscous sauces brought wild rhythms to the palate. Finally, Samanta Malavasi’s root patterns dictated our floor plan, letting organic growth inhabit the tablescape as a living microcosm.
