Pasta and Pickles
with Gärtnerei SannmannInspired by Ungers’ urban manifesto "The City in the City. Berlin: A Green Archipelago" (1977) this project reimagines the table as a place of radical dialogue where food acts as a tool for urban action. The project transforms the table into a radical landscape where food acts as a tool for interdisciplinary action, redefining sustainability through a lens of urban resistance and design. The journey moved from the scarcity of a Berlin winter—crafting a 100% plant-based menu from just four seasonal vegetables—to the lush Sannmann Greenhouse in Hamburg. This summer edition brought urban theory back to the soil through farm-to-table workshops, culminating in an aperitivo in the fields. It was a living manifesto, turning the act of eating into a decentralized, green landscape.
